Salman Khurshid said he had heavy doses of Martini otherwise he is comfortable talking many lies
According to sources, Madamji asked Khurshid reduce his hangover otherwise next elections will be his dream
After controversial statements of law minister Salman Khurshid that Rahul Gandhi is only playing a 'cameo role' and Congress is directionless prompting the senior leader on Tuesday to clarify that it was effect of heavy doses of Desi Martini previous night left no choice for him but to say truth in front of the reporter.
"Actually, in public I wanted to tell that the young and new leadership should prepare to lead from the front. But I just made statement to be made in private which created this controversy," said Salman Khurshid in damage control mode.
Salman Khurshid attended a corporate summit where he had a bit more on the hard rocks and could not remove the hangover of nicely tasted desi martini despite drinking 8 glasses of nimbu paani and 12 cup tea.
"Yea, I think the martini was low quality and conspired by opposition party leaders prompt me to say the private truth. But here I am and here the real truth that in public Rahul Gandhi should become Prime Minister and take charge of Congress Party," said Salman Khurshid.
Louise Khurshid, Salman's wife also stood firm behind her husband. She said "Generally, Salman can easily talk lie but I don't know how this happened with him."
She said "Salman is different in private and shares a lot of truth which are not to be told in public. He is also under control even though he has a bit heavy on his own toes. But this time from the start only he was not under his own control. Previous night with, eerrrr… beheki beheki baate kar rahe the. He first slammed on the door and then kicked it out and pushed me on sofa and told me that he is directionless because of martini."
While the controversy helped opposition party which itself was directionless to gain some traction.
Nitin Gadkari, President of BJP said "He he he... Literally alcohol makes man directionless and talks private truth in public. He he he… I never did such stupid thing."
Salman Khurshid said "Don't know buddy. Generally, my hangover is for limited period but this time I don't know how it took more time. I lost control and incidentally talked truth."
According to sources, Madam Sonia Gandhi sent him 'get well soon' greeting card and asked him to reduce his drinks.
